Budget Golf Balls
Budget golf balls allow for an easier entry into the game at a lower cost.
While these golf balls are far from the best, the abilities of a beginner will not exceed their capabilities.
You can find these golf balls at general retail stores, sporting goods stores and online.
Some Budget Golf Ball Brands include:
- Nitro
- Pinnacle
- Top Flight
- Strata
- Spalding
- Slazenger
- Any Recycled/Refurbished
Some of these brands do have different types and some levels of balls, but overall they are all mostly considered the cheapest and most basic quality golf ball producers.
Recycled and refurbished balls will be all brands and types, but they have usually deteriorated quite a bit from their original quality. These balls can cause unknown and inconsistent ball performance due to aging or what the ball has previously been through.
Key Features:
- These balls are going to be the cheapest price for the most balls.
- They usually have a harder more durable cover than higher quality balls.
- They offer a variety of color, style, and compression.
Pros:
- They don’t cost very much.
- They play just fine.
- There is still variety and quality options to choose from.
- When you loose them, it is much better than loosing expensive balls.
Cons:
- You will notice the lower quality as you get better at golf. (Softness and feel)
- You will notice lower performance as your contact improves. (Less workability and spin)
- Seasoned golfers will know you are a beginner if you play these balls. (Less status if brands and appearance matters to you)

- Beginning golfers who don’t want to waste money.
- Golfers who are not yet at a level of making pure contact consistently.
